"Stronger, Safer, Smarter Lashes"
LED lash extensions offer instant wear, longer retention, and a seamless application process—no waiting period, no irritation.
A New Approach to Lash Extensions
At The Modern Heiress, we offer LED-cured lash extensions—an advanced innovation designed for faster application, safer wear, and superior retention compared to traditional lash extensions.
Unlike traditional adhesives that require 24-48 hours to fully cure, LED lash extensions bond instantly using a non-UV blue light. This technique enhances retention, minimizes sensitivity, and eliminates the waiting period—so you can enjoy your lashes immediately.
Why Choose LED Lash Extensions?

Pre-Care: How to Prepare for Your LED Lash Appointment
Shower & Wash Your Hair Before Your Appointment
Your LED lash extensions will be waterproof immediately after application, but arriving freshly cleansed ensures your lashes are oil-free and prepped for maximum bonding.
Discontinue Mascara Use at Least 3 Days Before Your Appointment
Even after cleansing, mascara residue can remain on your natural lashes, preventing the extensions from bonding properly.
Arrive with a Freshly Cleansed Face—No Makeup or Oils
Please come in with clean, dry skin and avoid using face lotions, serums, or skincare that contain oils around the eye area.
Avoid Caffeine Before Your Appointment
Caffeine can cause eye twitching, making precise application more difficult. Opt for water or herbal tea instead.
Remove Contact Lenses & Wear Glasses if Needed
For comfort and safety, we recommend removing contact lenses before your appointment. Bring your glasses if needed.
If You Have Previous Lash Extensions, Book a Removal Add-On
If you currently have lash extensions from another artist, we can remove them during your appointment before applying your new LED lash set. Please make sure to book the lash removal as an add-on to your service to allow enough time for both removal and reapplication.
Keep Your Phone on Silent & Minimize Distractions
For your relaxation and the best results, we kindly ask that phones be put on silent and away during your appointment. Your eyes must remain closed throughout the service.
💡 Pro Tip: If you have an important event coming up, book your LED lash appointment at least 3 days in advance. This allows time to check for any sensitivities or request adjustments. We offer a complimentary touch-up within 3 days in case any issues arise.

Post-Care: How to Maintain Your LED Lash Extensions
To keep your lashes looking their best and lasting as long as possible, follow these aftercare instructions:
Avoid Steam & Saunas for the First 24 Hours
Although your lashes are waterproof immediately, excess heat and steam can weaken the adhesive bond during the first day.
Avoid Cotton on Your Lashes
Fibers from cotton rounds, Q-tips, and towels can snag on your lashes, causing unnecessary shedding. Instead, use a lint-free cloth or a microfiber applicator for makeup removal.
Be Gentle & Avoid Rubbing Your Eyes
Excessive touching, rubbing, or picking at your lashes can lead to premature fallout and damage to your natural lashes.
No Mascara or Waterproof Eye Makeup
Heavy eye makeup and waterproof mascara require harsh removal methods that can weaken the adhesive bond and cause lash loss.
Do Not Use Lash Curlers
Lash curlers will damage and crimp the extensions. If you prefer a more curled look, let your lash artist know at your appointment.
Sleep on Your Back & Use a Silk Pillowcase
Sleeping on your face can cause lashes to bend or shed prematurely. A mulberry or silk pillowcase reduces friction and keeps your lashes intact.
Avoid Direct Heat Exposure (Lighters, Ovens, etc.)
Extreme heat can warp and weaken lash extensions. When opening an oven or using high heat, be mindful of your lashes.
Brush & Cleanse Your Lashes Daily
Use a clean spoolie brush to gently comb through your lashes each morning.
Wash your lashes morning and night with lash extension-safe shampoo to remove oil buildup and debris.
💡 Pro Tip: Shedding is natural! Your lashes go through a growth cycle just like hair. Losing 2-5 lashes per day is normal.
📌 Don’t wait too long for a fill! After 4+ weeks, a refill may no longer be possible, and you’ll need a new full set. Keep up with fills every 3-4 weeks to maintain a seamless look.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
-
LED lash extensions use a specialized adhesive containing a photo initiator, which begins curing only when exposed to a specific LED light wavelength (395-400nm). This allows the adhesive to fully cure within 1-3 seconds, compared to traditional adhesives that take 24-48 hours to cure using humidity.
Why is this better? Traditional adhesives cure slowly using moisture from the air, making them more vulnerable to humidity, oil, and premature fallout. LED-cured adhesives form a complete, solid bond in seconds, improving retention and reducing sensitivity.
-
Yes! LED lash curing uses a non-UV wavelength (395-400nm), which is part of the visible light spectrum and does not emit harmful radiation.
Facts about LED exposure:
✔ The total exposure from an LED lash session is equal to less than a minute of outdoor sunlight.
✔ The light does not penetrate the skin—it only activates the adhesive.
✔ The slight warmth you may feel is normal and comes from energy transfer, not UV rays.📌 Bottom line: LED curing is safer than UV nail lamps, blue light from screens, and even some overhead lighting.
-
With proper care, LED lash extensions last 6-8 weeks, longer than traditional lash adhesives.
Why do they last longer?
✔ Instant full curing—no waiting period, so the adhesive isn’t weakened by moisture or oils.
✔ Stronger bonding structure, reducing premature shedding.
✔ Minimized exposure to environmental factors that can break down traditional adhesives.Regular fills every 3-4 weeks keep your lashes looking full as your natural lash cycle progresses.
-
Yes! LED lash extensions are waterproof instantly after application.
✔ No 24-hour wait period—you can shower, exercise, or wash your face right away.
✔ The adhesive is fully polymerized upon curing, so moisture won’t affect retention.📌 Tip: While water is fine, avoid excessive steam (saunas, hot yoga) for the first 24 hours to allow optimal bonding.
-
Yes! LED-cured adhesive is oil-resistant, meaning you can use oil-based skincare and makeup.
However, to maintain optimal retention, we still recommend using oil-free removers and gentle cleansers whenever possible.
Unlike traditional adhesives, LED adhesive forms a complete bond immediately, making it highly resistant to oil exposure.
-
Yes! LED lash extensions are ideal for clients with sensitive eyes because they produce less fumes and irritation than traditional adhesives.
What makes them gentler?
✔ Lower levels of volatile compounds, meaning fewer fumes.
✔ Instant curing eliminates lingering irritation from slow-drying adhesive.
✔ Great for clients who experience redness or watering eyes with traditional glue.📌 If you have a severe cyanoacrylate allergy, LED adhesive still contains cyanoacrylate and may not be suitable.
-
No. LED lash curing is not the same as UV exposure.
✔ The 395-400nm wavelength is visible light, not UV.
✔ The light does not penetrate the skin or eyes, making it completely safe.
✔ Compared to UV nail lamps, LED curing emits no harmful radiation. You are exposed to more UV rays from your phone screen than from an entire lash session.
-
We do not recommend mascara, especially waterproof formulas, as they can cause buildup and weaken retention.
✔ If you must wear mascara, choose a lash extension-safe, oil-free formula and apply only to the tips to avoid product buildup.
-
If you notice gaps or unevenness in your lash line, it’s time for a fill!
✔ Book a fill every 2-3 weeks to maintain fullness.
✔ If it has been 4+ weeks, a full set may be required instead of a fill.📌 Your natural lashes shed 2-5 per day as part of their cycle—fills help maintain a seamless look.
